Best schoolboy error of the week Friday August 27, 2010

As a new term lurks mockingly around the corner, I thought I’d share a recent spelling error. These things do happen, but it is a little unfortunate considering the educational nature of the word. I don’t know if this is a one-off in the US, but here in the UK, mistakes in public writing have come at a big cost for local councils. Who knows, perhaps they’ll all get detention.

Thanks to Pete Simcoe for bringing this to my attention. One gold star to you.

  1. ‘Of all the roads in all the world, you had to you had to go and put a typo here’. If only road markers had spell checkers, that’s a ‘shcoolboy’ error in the truest sense of the term.

    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Just pinning up my gold star on my chart of good behaviour. I’ll show me mum too :)

Any further ‘schoolboy’ errors [I like what you did there] will be sent your way.

    Thanx Camila,

    Pete
