Turning your business inside-out Tuesday September 30, 2008
When people ask me about communicating their business – on their website or in newsletters or brochures, I suggest they get a little topsy turvey.
On one side you have your business activities and services – what you could see as ‘the core’. On the other side is the good stuff for your business communications -the benefits, the selling points, the special something. It’s all too easy to view and communicate your business from the first side, but your writing needs to get your customers seeing the other benefits-rich side.
It’s time to turn things on their head. Communicate your business the way it could help people, not simply by what it does. A little topsy-turvey could give you – and your customers – a whole new viewpoint.
