The typo trap 13 October 2009

The common typo. Like the common cold, it happens to all of us from time to time. The secret is to spot it (the typo, not the cold) while your copy is in the early stages. If not, it might just reduce your credibility or raise a laugh at your expense. This is currently doing the rounds as ‘the best typo ever’ (thanks to @Oddisgood). Whether it’s a Freudian slip or a copy trip, this typo shows just how a small error can undermine your whole message. And cause lots of amusement, too.
