You care about your copy. The statistics prove it. A total of 63% of businesses and other organisations contacted responded to a recent Green Light Copywriting survey. So what were the most interesting results?

Your view…Copy matters just as much as design
I wanted to know your opinion of the everlasting Copy vs. Design debate. The answer was clear. 91.9% of people asked agree that copy is equal in importance to design. And 8.1% believe that copy is of more importance than design!

Your view…Fresh copy can bring a fresh perspective
What’s the main reason you use copywriting services? You chose ‘a fresh perspective’ as your joint top choice, exactly equal with ‘more effective communication’.

Your view…The quality of copy affects company credibility
It’s an open and shut case. Every single business interviewed agreed that the standard of written copy can affect the credibility of an organisation. No doubt or debate there.

Your view…A recession isn’t a reason to economise on communications
Is the current economic climate making you more or less likely to use copywriting services? Your view seems to reflect the reality that companies which keep on marketing in a recession generally do better than those that don’t. Whilst 30.6% of respondents did say they were less likely to use copywriting services, 19.4% said they were more likely to. Combining this second figure with the 50% who answered ‘don’t know’ suggests that you don’t see a recession as a bar to high quality communications.
